Cookie Policy

The cookies and local storage SupaDrone uses, what each one is for, and how to control them.

Last updated: 26 August 2026

This policy explains how supadrone.com ("SupaDrone", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and in the application. It sits alongside the Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly.

1. What these technologies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser and reads back on later visits.

Local storage serves a similar purpose but is not sent back to the server with each request. We use it for preferences that only your own browser needs to know about.

Both are covered by this policy, because the distinction rarely matters to the person deciding whether to allow them.

2. What we use, and why

2.1 Strictly necessary

These are required for the service to work. They cannot be switched off from within the application, because doing so would prevent you from signing in or staying signed in.

PurposeWhat it is
Authentication and sessionSupabase authentication cookies, which keep you signed in and identify your session. Set on sign-in, cleared on sign-out
SecurityTokens used to protect form submissions and authenticated requests against cross-site request forgery
Load and routingInfrastructure cookies set by our hosting provider to route requests correctly

2.2 Preferences

These remember choices you have made. Losing them is an inconvenience rather than a failure.

PurposeWhat it is
Interface layoutsidebar_state, which remembers whether the application sidebar is expanded or collapsed
AppearanceYour light or dark theme preference
LanguageYour selected language, so the interface loads in it next time
Consentcookie_consent_status, stored in local storage, which records your answer to the cookie banner so you are not asked again

2.3 Analytics

These help us understand how the service is used so we can improve it. They are set only where you have accepted them.

PurposeWhat it is
Product analyticsNone currently in use
Error monitoringNone currently in use

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell the data these technologies collect.

3. Third parties

Some cookies are set by the providers we use to run the service rather than by us directly. Those providers process the data on our instructions under contract, as described in the Privacy Policy. Their own notices govern anything they do as controllers in their own right.

4. Your choices

The banner. When you first visit, you are asked whether to accept non-essential cookies. Your answer is recorded so you are not asked repeatedly.

Changing your mind. You can clear the stored answer at any time by clearing site data for this domain in your browser, which will cause the banner to appear again on your next visit.

Browser controls. All major browsers let you block or delete cookies, either generally or per site. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.

Do Not Track. Browsers signal this inconsistently and we do not treat it as a consent choice. Use the banner or your browser controls instead.

5. Aerial capture is not covered here

Cookies concern your use of the website and application. They have nothing to do with what a drone captures during a mission. Personal data appearing in mission imagery is dealt with separately in the Privacy Policy and in Imagery and people.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
