Imagery and people

How SupaDrone handles incidental capture of people, vehicles and neighbouring property.

Missions photograph places. Places contain people, vehicles and property belonging to others, and a flight over a working site will capture some of them whether or not they are its subject.

The subject is always the site

Missions are commissioned to inspect assets, survey ground and record change. People are never the subject of a mission, and SupaDrone does not offer surveillance of individuals as a service.

Incidental capture of people and vehicles is a by-product of photographing a real place, and it is treated as personal data rather than as scenery.

Listings are of places, never people

Nothing is listed in SupaVault whose subject is a person. Before capture from an opted-in site is offered for licence, it is reviewed against that rule. See Rights and opt-in.

Neighbouring property

A pod serves a radius, so capture can include ground beyond the site boundary. Missions are planned around what they were commissioned to inspect, and capture outside that scope is not the purpose of the flight, is not delivered as a finding, and is not listed.

Your obligations as a customer or host

Commissioning a mission at a site means confirming you have the standing to authorise capture there. Where people are routinely present at your site, such as employees, contractors or visitors, informing them that aerial inspection takes place is your responsibility rather than SupaDrone's, because you are the party with the relationship to them.

Specific obligations are set out in the Terms of Service.

Data protection roles and rights

Which party is the controller and which is the processor for a given category of data, the lawful bases relied on, and how to exercise rights over personal data captured in flight, are all set out in the Privacy Policy.
