Safety and supervision
Qualified operators supervise every mission, and flight-critical control stays with the aircraft and dock.
Qualified operators supervise every mission, and flight-critical control stays with the aircraft and dock.
Human supervision is a feature of the service, not a caveat attached to it. It is what makes persistent flight credible to the person who has to sign off on it internally.
A qualified operator reviews the mission before it flies and supervises it while it does. The customer requesting the mission is not flying the aircraft, is not expected to hold any qualification, and is not the responsible party for the flight.
The equipment is professional survey and inspection hardware operating from a dock, not a consumer drone. The distinction matters because "drone" alone leads people to picture a hobby quadcopter and to reason about risk accordingly.
SkyyOS coordinates and monitors operations. It does not replace the aircraft autopilot, and it does not replace vendor flight-safety systems.
Flight-critical control and aircraft recovery remain within the supported aircraft and dock systems. This boundary is deliberate and permanent. The assurance layer sits above proven flight systems rather than substituting for them.
Every mission leaves a record of what was requested, the conditions it flew in, who supervised it and what was captured. The record is available to the customer and is what an internal reviewer, an insurer or an auditor will want to see.
The service is not autonomous, and it is not described as such. It does not fly anywhere on demand: it flies within the operating envelope approved for a specific site. Search and rescue support is responder support under qualified supervision, not a guarantee of availability. See Mission types.
