Owning a pod
What you buy, what SupaDrone continues to do, and where the line between the two sits.

A Host buys the pod outright. It is your asset, on your site.
The aircraft and its dock, deployed at your location and configured for it.
Owning the hardware does not make you a drone operator, and it is not intended to. SupaDrone continues to hold the operational side:
You order outcomes from your own pod the same way a Fly customer orders them from anyone else's. See Requesting an inspection.
Your inspections are not competing with third-party demand for your aircraft. Sharing fills time you are not using, and turning sharing on does not create an obligation to accept any particular mission.
The two questions worth answering first are whether your site can take a deployment at all, and whether the inspections you would run justify the purchase on their own. See Site requirements.
Approval for a new location is obtained before the pod is deployed and takes months, so the timeline between deciding and flying is set by the approval, not by the hardware.
